Battle of the Bands is back and we want you in on the action!

Following on from the success of 2021, applications are now open for 2022!

We have two categories for you to choose from — the U18's or the Corporate.

Your band will receive mentoring from one of our award winning tutors before battling it out on stage in front of a packed-out Beau Sejour audience!

Whether you are a fully fledged local musician or just belting out your favourite hits in shower, we are looking for the best workplace band in Guernsey again for 2022! Could it be your organisation this year?

Get a work group together and you could be winning the prize of £1000 for your company's chosen charity.

How do we enter?

Get a work group together! The band needs to be made up of at least 50% of employees from your organisation. We require a minimum of 3 members per band. Band members will need their own instruments but we can provide everything else. All abilities welcome.

How does it work?

Your organisation will receive band mentoring by one of our tutors leading up to the big night. Times for this and location will be arranged on a case-by-case basis. We will aim for each band to have a setlist of three songs for the show.

What is the entry fee?

A registration fee of £650 will apply for each organisation. This will include:

Band mentoring.

A band video that will be played on the night and available for social media.

10 VIP tickets for your organisation.

The winning band on the night will receive a £1000 prize to donate to their chosen charity.

The School of Popular Music is delighted to host another Under 18’s Battle of the Bands for 2022!

If you’re in a band and all the members of the band are under 18, this is an awesome opportunity for you all to showcase your talent on the big stage with professional sound and lighting, and in doing so, be in with a chance of winning £1000 worth of recording at Apocalypse Studios as well as VIP access to the Corporate Battle of the Bands (the following day) where you’ll get to perform live once again!

How will it work?

Each band will receive mentoring from the award winning SOPM tutors in the weeks running up to gig day. On the night, each band will have 15 minutes to showcase their talent. The judges will give each band feedback after their performance and once all the bands have performed, the judges will choose their winner.

How do we enter?

Each band requires at least a rhythm section (drums and bass) and must have no more than 6 members.
